Girls in STEM Camp 

Cost: $300

Short Description: Female campers will learn engineering basics and program robots to solve real-world problems! Students need to bring a device (tablet or phone with Wi-Fi capabilities) from home.

Long Description: Students will learn engineering basics with the Little Bit® STEAM kit through challenges using sensors, motors, and other key components. With the Sphero Mini – students will learn how to follow a logic flow and program various challenges. Students will be stepped from basic drawing to blocks to text based coding (Java Script). Each challenge will require students to dive into deeper level problem solving. After building fundamental skills, they will be challenged to select a real-world problem to solve using Little Bit and Sphero Mini. Students will get to take home their Sphero Mini at the end of the week! Students need to bring a device (tablet or phone with Wi-Fi capabilities) from home.

Age: Recommended for incoming 6^th– 8^th graders; Camp is intended for female students.  The Bits and Bots Camp covers the same course of instruction for male students.

Lunch:  Students bring their own lunch
