Joel Gomez is an Executive Integration Architect on the IBM WW Hybrid Cloud Integration Software Synergy Team with more than 28 years of experience in technology related to Application and Integration Middleware solutions, including MQ, App Connect Enterprise (formerly IBM Integration Bus), and API Connect. He holds a Masters degree in e-Commerce from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico. His areas of expertise include Cloud Computing, Service Oriented Architecture & API Economy, as well as Application Development, Web, Mobile & Microservices Technologies.
In recent years he focused on Integration for Healthcare creating the North America Integration for Healthcare User Group and led a monthly call with some of the largest healthcare providers and payers in North America, where they discussed topics like the Healthcare Pack, DICOM, HIPAA, HL7 and FHIR. He is co-author of IBM Redbooks publication “Accelerating Modernization with Agile Integration”.
