Short Description: This exciting summer camp will give middle school girls (6th – 8th grades) the opportunity to explore the world of robotics through a variety of challenges including building their very own autonomous robot.
Long Description: Students will learn electronic basics with the Arduino Robot project and will explore engineering principles through challenges using sensors, motors, and other key components. With the Arduino – students will learn how to follow a logic flow and program various challenges and they will be stepped from simple output commands to autonomous sensing and response. Each challenge will require students to dive into deeper level problem solving. After building fundamental skills, they will be challenged to select a real-world problem to solve using their bot and they can continue to explore at home after the camp since they will get to take home their robot at the end of the week!
Age: Recommended for incoming 6th– 8th graders; Camp is intended for female students.
Lunch: Students bring their own lunch
